Based in Seymour, Connecticut, CBS Northeast has a large inventory of new, surplus, and reconditioned circuit breakers, switchgear, motor control, transformers, and other power apparatus, along with hundreds of thousands of replacement parts.
Our shop services include repairing, upgrading, reconditioning, and re-manufacturing your electrical equipment from a single circuit breaker to a complete substation.
CBS Northeast service teams provide on-site 24/7 emergency or disaster repair/recovery services.
We can repair on-site or replace your circuit breakers, switchgear, and power transformers having you back online quickly and safely.
High school or equivalent GED certification.
Five years of relevant electrical and mechanical experience.
Ability to use measuring tools (Vernier caliper, micrometer, tape measure, etc.
).
Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits safely and make repairs.
Capable of lifting 50-pounds.
Capable of standing for extended periods.
Must be willing to work in a shop atmosphere.
Candidate will be expected to be highly motivated and have desire to learn.
Ability and willingness to read and study OEM manuals and technical literature.
Ability to read a mechanical/electrical blueprint, a drawing, or a hand sketch.
Mechanically inclined, must have your own tools.
Detailed oriented, great attitude, team player, well organized.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and repair.
Must have the ability to maintain good housekeeping of your designated work area.
Ability to work 50
hours a week, weekends, and support emergencies as needed.
Willingness to help keep the Breaker department neat, clean, and organized.

Testers require a higher level of experience and need to have an aptitude for mechanical and electrical repairs.
Must also be organized to keep track of several jobs at any given time.

Ability to clean electrical parts.
Ability to remove and reinstall electrical components in switchgear and circuit breakers with documentation.
Mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair switchgear and circuit breakers.
Ability to rack breakers in and out of cubicles and know correct interlock positions.
Read manuals and follow detailed instructions on adjusting equipment.
Electrical.
Test or assist with testing anything that comes into the department.
Mentor others in dept.
, share knowledge.
Keep areas clean, neat, and well organized.
Keep test equipment clean.
Share eval and final testing duties.
Assist with info gathering for production, prints, manuals, etc.
Ability to read/make prints.
Support other departments with anything they need tested in a timely manner.
